Quick verdict
NordVPN wins overall (9.2/10 vs 9/10)
Both are excellent VPNs, but they serve different households. Surfshark's unlimited-device policy makes it uniquely suited for large families, while NordVPN's larger server network (7,600+ vs 4,500+) and independently audited no-logs record give it a slight edge for single users who prioritise performance and trust.
